Notes on Graphic Languages
Graphic Languages is a vibrant visual journey and guide through the world’s most influential writing systems:
Adlam, Arabic, Armenian, Bangla, Chinese (Hanzi), Cyrillic, Devanagari, Ge’ez, Georgian, Greek, Gujarati, Gurmukhi, Hangul, Hebrew, Japanese (Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji), Kannada, Khmer, Latin, Malayalam, N’Ko, Odia, Sinhala, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, and Tifinagh.
The list of writing systems was compiled based on several specific criteria. If you are a designer or creative writer working with a script not yet covered in the first edition or are aware of type communities that are, please feel free to get in touch so that we can discuss its inclusion in a potential second edition.
